" What to do after 10th? , which courses to opt for after 10th? " etc. 

 Here let us discuss possible courses you can join so that you can have your dream career in future.10th is considered as a turning point in our society, there are many opportunities out there some are familiar to us and there are some which are not.

 Types of courses after 10th

 Here I have divided courses into 3 categories.

  • 11th and 12th.
  • Short Term Courses.
  • Technical Training Institute Certified Courses.

11th and 12th : 

This is the most opted line after 10th by most students, this line is most suited for students who want to pursue higher education in terms of bachelors and masters degree.

  This consist of major 3 streams, which are:-

  • Science
  • Commerce
  • Arts.

Detail subjects under each stream:

Science: One who is interested in science-oriented courses in future such as Engineering, Medical etc. This stream mainly comprises science-related subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology as main subjects with other optional subjects such as Statistics, Electronics, Computer science. Under this stream give wider opportunity in a section of courses in future studies.

Commerce: Commerce stream consists of subjects related to Accounts, Statistics, Business Studies, Economics. Opting this stream one can have a career in business and management, the financial sector in the industries.

Arts: Arts stream consists of subjects related to Arts and Humanities, Literature, History, Geography, Economics, Law, Political Science, etc. One can build a career in Management and Professional sectors in private and government sectors.

After two years of course one can continue with graduation and post-graduation in the respective stream of their interest. 

One of the advantage of opting 11th and 12th is one can prepare and apply for government jobs which usually ask for 12th and graduation as a minimum requirement.

 Professional / Short term courses after 10th :-

Some students want to start their working life earlier in life, in such case professional course or short term courses is the best choice.


Opting for short term courses after 10th are one of the best option with respect to career perspective.As companies nowadays demand for skilled employee and experienced one over graduated or post graduated students, since some graduation streams have become more saturated so it is wise option in choosing a short term course because one can land to jobs after completion of course and even there is an opportunity for higher studies.

1. I.T.I Courses:-  Industrial Training Institute (ITI) provides technical and non-technical courses students passing 10th, the course duration varies from 1 year to 3 years based on the requirement. Once the course is completed, students have to appear for AITT (All India Trade Test) that is organized by NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training).

Once the candidates pass the AITT, candidates will be awarded a National Trade Certificate. You can use this certificate for applying for jobs or further studies.

Many college offer placement opportunity for the students so that they get their dream job after the completion of the course.
